1 The Grande Côte beach in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer
Characteristic and recognizable among 1000 thanks to its sandy blockhouses, the beach of the Grande côte de Saint Palais is simply magnificent.
Park on one of the parking lots on the road leading to La Palmyre and after a 5 to 10 minute walk in the shade of the pine trees you will discover this magnificent stretch of fine sand.

2 The Wild Coast, from the beach of the Coubre lighthouse to the beach of the Spanish point
Located directly after La Palmyre, the beach of the Coubre lighthouse, is hidden behind the forest of the same name, it is necessary to walk a little to reach it. But what a beach, you will be enchanted so much you will take full eyes.

9 Pontaillac beach
The beach of Pontaillac is located at the entrance of Royan coming from Vaux sur Mer, in front of the district of the city which bears the same name. A beautiful downtown beach where all the shops, restaurants and bars are in the immediate vicinity.
Here we are far from the concept of "Wild" beach like the beaches we were talking about above, but it remains pleasant, very pretty and deserves its place in our ranking of the 15 most beautiful beaches in Charente-Maritime.
This beautiful beach of Pontaillac is a popular place for bodyboarders and surfers.
10 The beach of the Grande Conche of Royan
Another downtown beach that offers proximity to all the amenities found in town : various shops, bars, restaurants...
You will make beautiful strolls starting from the beach of the Grande Conche of Royan by leaving in direction of the port which is near and by going up to admire the moored boats.

This beautiful little beach of Royan is located in the Conche du Chay, slightly south of the beach of Pontaillac, mentioned above. It is a beach with a very pleasant environment, with less presence of constructions while we are still in town.
The beach of Chay de Royan is located between the cliffs, a little hidden, it seems to float a feeling of quietude reinforced by the presence of the lighthouse of Chay.
A large parking lot is located not far from this beautiful little beach, so access is easy, and an inclined plane allows access to people with reduced mobility but with help because the slope is steep.
12 The Great Beach of Chatelaillon
The Great Beach of Chatelaillon-Plage is without a doubt the most beautiful beach in the immediate vicinity of La Rochelle.
