For its 120th anniversary, the Transporter Bridge has been completely renovated. Thus it has regained its original shape.

The operation of the bridge is, all in all, very simple: a gondola suspended by cables from the deck (175 m long and located 50 m from the ground) crosses the river in a few minutes.
